University of Montana Athletic Director Jim O’Day Filled Craig & Al in on the Griz’s Basketball Victory Last Night

Dahlberg Arena was rockin’ last night!  7,157 fans watched Montana win the Big Sky Conference basketball title by defeating the other contender  Weber State 66-51. That might look like a runaway score but it was a 3-5 point game a lot of the time.  The key to the game down the stretch was the role the fans played in backing their team on defense. Students took the cues from Montana head coach Wayne Tinkle and got loud. The rest of the crowd joined in and it was deafening.  Montana will host the conference tourney next Tuesday and Wednesday, March 6 and 7.
