Everything You Need to Know About UM Homecoming Week 2026
Happy homecoming week, Griz Nation. Welcome back to Missoula if you're traveling in from out of state for the true definition of "homecoming."
Homecoming week is, obviously, capped off by the football game against Northern Colorado, but there are several other homecoming events before we get there.

Grizzly Volleyball is home for two matches this week. Montana welcomes in Eastern Washington on Thursday, October 1, at 7 pm and Idaho on Saturday night at 7 pm after the football game.
Volleyball will try to snap a 3-game losing stretch.
Yell Night Pep Rally

- UM Fire Club Bonfire

- All Griz Athletics Teams
- Lighting of the M
- Marching Band
- Spirit Squads with Monte
- Fireworks
Oh, and by the way, the pumpkin is now on the spire at Main Hall.
Homecoming Parade
The Homecoming Parade begins at 10 am on Saturday.
"Traveling through downtown Missoula along its historic route: south on Higgins Avenue, across the Beartracks Bridge and east on University Avenue to campus." - Griz Alum Website
All are welcome to attend: alumni, students, campus partners, community members, organizations and businesses.
Note: If you aren't attending the parade but tailgating the football game, expect delays and road closures as you try to drive to Washington-Grizzly Stadium.
