I'm loving the vibe when it comes to concert news over the last two weeks. We've started to see tours announced and shows are slowly getting scheduled again. We also had the announcement that the Guns N' Roses show is still scheduled to happen at Washington-Grizzly stadium this August. Today brought more news as the Under The Big Sky Festival announced rescheduled dates for this summer along with a couple lineup changes.

The first year of Under The Big Sky in 2019 seemed to be a success. It was a pretty awesome venue on a ranch just outside of Whitefish. They had two stages and a pretty impressive lineup. It didn't take long for organizers to announce that the event would return in 2020. But we all know the rest of that story, right? With concerts starting to make a comeback - Under The Big Sky posted to social media that they will be "moving forward as planned" and the festival will take place July 16-18.

Here's a couple changes to know about for this year's event:

  • The Head and The Heart and Corb Lund will no longer be performing.
  • Elle King, Lucinda Williams and a couple other acts have been added to the lineup.
  • A bonus night of music will happen Friday night.

What's this bonus night of music you ask? Well, it's a way of saying thank you to those that decided to keep their tickets from last year. Anyone that rolled their tickets over to this year instead of requesting a refund when the show was postponed last summer can use the original tickets for THREE nights of music instead of just the Saturday and Sunday shows. The added Friday performances will include Dwight Yoakam's return to the festival after being one of the highlights from the first year, and Ryan Bingham, who you might recognize as Walker from the hit tv show Yellowstone.

The good news is that the Friday night show will actually be open to everyone - not just those that still have tickets from last year's show. Yes, ticket holders will get in free.....but there's an option for those purchasing Saturday/Sunday tickets to pay another $60 and add on the extra night of music.

Not only do they plan to hold the Under The Big Sky Festival this summer - but now they've turned it into a longer weekend of entertainment! In the end it works out pretty awesome for concert goers.

Clear your calendar for July 16-18 and if you don't already have tickets - get them HERE.
