Missoula’s Northwest Margarita Fest Returns Saturday With Tequila, Food and Live Music

Here's your PSA for the day: Don't ever perform the song " Tequila" by The Champs for karaoke. It's been overdone, and it's not funny to watch some sorry feller get on stage and sing 'Tequila' three times in two minutes.

Just stop it.

Speaking of tequila, Missoula will be your home for tequila and margaritas on Saturday.

6th Annual Northwest Margarita Fest Is Saturday, July 11

Tomorrow marks the 6th annual Northwest Margarita Fest. The tequila-inspired festival takes over Caras Park in downtown Missoula on Saturday, July 11, beginning at 1 p.m.

There are five key events or talking points of this year's Margarita Fest

Northwest Margarita Fest Cantina: The Cantina is where you get your classic, spicy, or huckleberry margarita. Sober folks, there are NA drinks, too. Beer people, there are beers, too.

Margarita Street: 8 local bars bring their unique twists on margaritas. You can sample all of them (please do so responsibly) and vote on your favorite.

Tequila Alley: Tequila Alley is where you go to taste straight tequila, homie. Take away the margarita ingredients, and sample pure tequila.

Food: Food trucks carrying tacos, "Latin delights" and ice cream.

Entertainment: Cornhole, Giant Jenga, spinklers, and live music.

The event is free and open to all ages. Obviously, little junior won't be able to drink, but the kids can still play the games while mom and dad sample 1 or 2 or 8 margaritas.
