Remember The Montana Grizzlies Beer?

Who remembers when the University of Montana had its own brand of beer? The Griz' beer, along with 43 other FCS football schools, resurfaced on Reddit this week. A Redditor posted "The Beers of the FCS!" list and Montana caught my eye as I looked at it.

Back in 2018, Big Sky Brewing created the University of Montana Griz Montana Lager. The collaboration celebrated the University's 125th birthday.

I am formally asking Big Sky Brewing to bring back the Griz Lager. It was before my time in Montana, so I'd like to try it out. Untappd, an app used to rate beers, users scored the Griz Montana Lager at 3.33/5 on 757 ratings. It's got a sweet design too.

I should have been more proactive and asked for the Griz Lager resurgence earlier this summer. If I asked in June then maybe we could have begun production in time for the season opener VS Missouri State. You could crack open a Griz Lager in the shadows of Washington-Grizzly Stadium and enjoy a crisp, refreshing, tasty Montana beer.
