It’s been a full year now that I’ve been on my kick to build a healthier life for me and my family. I didn’t make any drastic changes but slowly swapped some less healthy foods for healthier ones (most times unbeknownst to my family). I also made an effort to get outside every day and exercise a few times a week. I also swapped movies and TV time with my kids for walks in the woods and bike rides
Who doesn’t love brownies? However, their chocolatey goodness is not always so good for you. Wouldn’t it be great if the brownies you loved were actually good for you? Well, these brownies are not as good for you as say a bowl of salad, but they are better for you than regular brownies. These are made using no oil and even have two fruits and a vegetable hidden in the recipe.
I love desserts. The easier they are to make, the better. This is a super easy recipe with no baking involved! All you have to do is mix everything together and you’re done. This doesn’t get much easier for busy parents. These bars are not only delicious, but they are also pretty darn good for you. They are made with coconut oil, honey and dark chocolate - no flour, sugar or oil. So you can enjoy
We could all use a little swagger. You know a little strut in our step? Some of you are probably, or hopefully, accomplishing that this year by resolving to eat healthier. I always try to eat healthy, but sometimes it’s hard to find a delicious HEALTHY, dessert...
I have to admit, I have seen a few recipes on this and was skeptical to try it, as I have never been a huge fan of oatmeal. This, however is not your ordinary oatmeal. It is delicious. It keeps the grainy oatmeal texture and doesn’t turn into mush like it does when you cook it. This is super simple and super delicious.
