My Wife Won’t Let Me Use This Kitchen Tool

I make dinner most nights out of the week but for some reason Savannah is nervous about me using this one kitchen tool. From everything I read online it is an instrument for mincing things, all I know is that it's sharp and I could lose a finger.

Savannah, my wife is amazing but I think it is hilarious that she doesn't want me touching this sharp object known as a Mezzaluna. When I was doing the dishes one afternoon she actually told me to not wash the Mezzaluna, and leave it for her so I don't hurt myself. Although, who am I to argue when she doesn't want me cleaning something. :)

Am I the only guy who isn't supposed to touch something in their own kitchen, or does this happen in quite a few households?
