This is going to look pretty darn good on the resume, which is great since the experience  solidified what she wants to do for a career.

UM News Service tells us that University of Montana athletic training student Audrey Missildine is back working on the sidelines at Grizzly football games, after her eventful summer internship in upstate New York.

Audrey is a graduate student now in her final year of UM’s Athletic Training Program within the UM School of Integrative Physiology and Athletic Training. She just completed a nearly six-week internship with the NFL’s Buffalo Bills. And she is sharing what she learned with her fellow Griz athletic trainers.

She was immersed with the Bills during training camp at their St. John Fisher University in Rochester facility, as well as their preseason camp in Buffalo. And internships like these are not handed out to just anyone.

Audrey says she applied for the highly competitive internship through the Professional Football Athletic Training Society and sent her resume to all 32 NFL teams before being selected by the Bills. Once she arrived in Buffalo, she was a part of the team.

She stayed in a residence hall at training camp with other Bills staff and players. One of her favorite parts of the experience was spending time with the players off the field while they needed treatment. She and other interns would treat players while they played video games and cards in the residence halls.

With a big smile, she says, “I watched them play a lot of Xbox and Catan. Those were probably the best times just hanging out with them like normal people.”

Her internship culminated out on the field at Buffalo's Highmark Stadium for the Bills final preseason game against the Carolina Panthers. She worked on the sideline patching up bleeding players and making sure they all stayed hydrated.

And how does she feel about the education she's receiving at the University of Montana?

“The program here set me up for success. I knew everything I needed to going into it.”

And even though she's a big sports fan, she had never watched a Buffalo Bills game before.

“I’ll definitely be watching some Bills games this year. I have those connections with some players and got to see a lot of rookies make the 53-man roster. That was pretty exciting to watch their journey and get to see them make the team.”
