Missoula Gets Huge Profile on a Popular Site – Ready For More Tourists?
Love it or hate it, it's inevitable - more and more people are discovering the wonders of Missoula. We were just recently named by Fortune Magazine as a top place to visit alongside the likes of Paris and Mexico, and now Thrillist just published a huge profile talking about Missoula in detail, and why specifically people should check it out.
The article's headline reads, "This Montana Mountain Town Is An Outdoorsy Paradise," and it goes on to name about 50 different features, businesses, and quirks that make Missoula the desirable spot that it is.
What Are Some Highlights of the Thrillist Article?
The article breaks everything in Missoula up into sections, and it talks about everything from its brewery scene (name-checking places like Kettlehouse, Draught Works, and Bayern), to restaurants like Cambie and Plonk, to all the outdoor recreation opportunities for hiking and skiing.
They go even further into Missoula's art scene (The Roxy Theater and the Wilma get some shout-outs), the football crowds at Washington Grizzly-Stadium, and some of the new hotels that have been popping up in town.
Is This Going to Drive More People to Come to Missoula?
Thrillist's article mentions that Missoula has tended to fly under the radar, but maybe not for long (which, like, duh - I'm reading an article about the place right now.) Whether that means more people stopping by for a visit and bringing in those tourist dollars, or whether it means more out-of-staters actually deciding to move out here remains to be seen.
Either way, it's cool to see Missoula get a little recognition from Thrillist, who also recently highlighted a beer from Big Sky Brewing in another article.
