I was perusing the results of a new study from Zippia today, and they left me very disturbed, because it left me with a lingering question: why does Montana hate carrots so much?

Zippia just posted a study that shows off the most-hated food in every state in the US. And a few of them make sense - I know a lot of people don't like olives, and olives were the most-hated food across the country, topping 13 states. Anchovies, sushi, beets - sure, I can see that.

But then you get to Montana, and we are the only state in the entire country whose most-hated food is carrots. And guys... carrots are good! You can have them with a meal or you could have them as a snack! Why does Montana seem to hate carrots more than anyone else?

Especially when the correct answer is staring at us on the very same map: pickles. Like carrots, only one state in the country picked pickles, and that state was Hawaii. I've never liked pickles, and would easily take carrots over pickles. Are you telling me I have to move to Hawaii to find people who are like-minded about pickles? Have I said the word pickle so much that it doesn't even sound like a word anymore?

I don't know, but I do know that my girlfriend does hate carrots, so maybe there's some merit to this study. Or maybe it's all nonsense, and we shouldn't take it too seriously. Who's to say? I'll just be here munching on carrots, waiting for the rest of Montana to catch up.
