Want to Do Some Spooky Skating for Halloween?
If you think it's hard to walk around while wearing one of those clumsy Halloween masks, try ice skating with one on. Actually, I have no idea if that would be any more difficult or not since I've never actually been ice skating. But what I'm trying to get at here is Glacier Ice Rink's Spooky Skate is back again this year.
Get out on the ice!
After the Missoula Maze and the haunted house were canceled, it felt like there wouldn't be much for Halloween-themed activities happening around town. But the closer we get to Halloween, the number of things to do keeps increasing. You can see a list of upcoming activities at the end of this article.
Glacier Ice Rink will hold their 9th annual event on October 23, with an early session for families and younger children and a later session for the bigger kids. The early session (1 PM to 3 PM) will have Halloween music, a photo booth, and a costume contest on the ice. The later session (7 PM to 9 PM) will also include spooky lighting to skate to.
You can join the Spooky Skate fun with $10 admission and $2 skate rentals. They'll be capping each session at 100 people, so you might want to register in advance. You can learn more HERE
Been to the rink lately?
Have you been out of the loop with what's going on at Glacier Ice Rink? If you remember back in April, the Missoula Jr. Bruins team was sold and moved to South Dakota. It wasn't long after that we learned about the UM Hockey Team moving from an intramural squad to an organized league and planning to play their games at the rink. The team just played their first game on the home ice of Glacier Ice Rink over the weekend and had over 1,100 people in attendance! The next home game will be October 15 and tickets are just $10 for adults and $5 for students/kids. Games look like they'll be a bunch of fun!
