The public will be able to view the new state-of-the-art surgery center at Hamilton's Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital Friday afternoon, April 26. The event will include access to the operating suites, which is restricted once the center becomes "operational." The Grand Opening will be from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting at 5:30 p.m. Themed "Go Behind the Red Line," the open house will also include self-guided tours through the sterilization and decontamination areas, recovery and post-operative rooms. Amy James of the hospital told KLYQ that you will be able to meet the surgeons, see simulated surgeries with the DeVinci Robotic surgery unit and have refreshments, too.

The new surgery wing has been under construction on the northwest corner of the Hamilton hospital and includes a new parking lot with entrance by the Rehabilitation Center. Look for the Surgery Center sign.
