Rooted in country music lore, the Grand Ole Opry has housed many of the genre's best, most iconic country musicians.

June Carter, the Everly Brothers, Johnny Cash, George Jones, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn... the list goes on and on and on.

Now, we can add a Montana band to the list of Grand Ole Opry performers.

If you search Tophouse online, it'll say they're a Nashville-based band, but we know the origins of these fellas and it's the Last Best Place.

Tophouse was created in 2015 by two Montana music majors, guitarist/songwriter Jesse Davis and violinist William Cook before adding Joseph Larson and Andy LaFave.... After being vaulted to local fame in their birthplace of Missoula, with the Missoulian naming TopHouse one of the top 5 best new bands... - Tophouse's bio on their website

I love seeing stories like these. Too often, when Montana is put into a national spotlight, it's about how Montana is the place to visit.

Then all the Montanans get crabby for publicizing Montana as a place for tourists.

Rinse.

Recycle.

Repeat.

It's nice we get a change of pace with a Montana band performing on one of the most iconic stages in America.
