The End Of 40+ Year Runs

Sign of the times, I guess. Soap operas just aren't what they used to be to television and to viewing audiences. Today ABC cancelled One Life to Live (on since 1968) and All My Children (since 1970).  I think All My Children was almost as famous for actress Susan Lucci getting nominated every year for a daytime Emmy and never winning until finally a few years ago.
