My family loves Italian food. One of our favorites is lasagna. I love to eat it, but I hate to make it. It can be a huge pain to make. From boiling a pot of water, then boiling the noodles, then layering everything and then finally cooking it for an hour. It can be very time consuming.

The people in my family have a slight obsession with lemon. Pretty much any recipe that has delicious lemony flavor is a hit. I, on the other hand, love blueberries. This recipe beautifully melds these two amazing fruits together.

I’m always looking for healthier alternatives to classic recipes. My boys absolutely love fruit muffins. It doesn’t matter what kind of fruit is in the muffins, they just love the way fruit and cake combine. So, when I ran across these muffins, I just had to give them a try. They were just as good as the original, if not better.

My family loves lasagna. I love eating lasagna, I just don’t love making lasagna. It is one of those meals that’s so delicious, but it is also really labor intensive to make and takes a long time to bake, too. So, when I ran across this recipe, I was very excited.

I love summer. Not just because of the long summer nights but because of the awesome food that my husband grows in his garden. We always end up with boxes full of tomatoes, baskets full of onions and buckets full of zucchinis.

Lemon desserts are quite popular in my house, especially this time of the year. There is just something about summer that screams lemon. Perhaps it’s because lemonade seems to be the drink of choice when the weather is hot. There is just nothing like drinking a tall glass of cool lemonade on a sunny day.

These one pot recipes have been flooding my Facebook page lately. I haven’t tried to make one yet, but I’m going to try to make at least one this week. They look super easy. All you have to do is just throw everything into a pot and cook it on the stove.

There’s just something about summer that makes me want to celebrate every day. These are drinks that I might normally make for a party or special occasion the rest of the year. However, summertime and no school is good enough reason for me (and especially my kids) to celebrate.

Staying cool in the summer is important. Getting kids to drink enough can be especially hard. It seems that every summer at least one of my boys gets a minor case of dehydration. The heat and blazing sun doesn’t seem to bother them.

My family loves crab, but it’s so expensive. So, I like to use imitation crab when the crab is not the main part of the meal. It’s much cheaper and the taste is close enough for cooking purposes. This crab salad sandwich recipe I’m sharing is a family favorite.

My boys love donuts, but I hate giving them the deep fried version. I know donuts aren’t the best food to give them, but I do let them eat them every now and then. After all, I can’t force them to eat oatmeal every day.
