Montana’s Strange Law: You Cannot Leave Your Sheep Unattended In Your Car
Yesterday morning, I listened to a show I've been listening to since I was a kid growing up in Wisconsin near the Twin Cities of Minnesota—The Half-Assed Morning Show. Those guys are some of the funniest people you can listen to.
They discussed strange laws in the U.S. during one of their show's segments yesterday. One of the hosts mentioned "Montana" and my ears perked up. The law had something to do with transporting sheep, so I had to look it up on the world wide web.
Sure enough, I found a strangely worded law regarding sheep transportation in Montana. From Heenan & Cook Trial Lawyers: "It is illegal to have a sheep in the cab of your truck without a chaperone in Montana."
I'm not a country boy. Let me just say that first. But is it common to drive around with your sheep pal in the cab next to you? Because if it's typical I'll shut up and stop writing.

Now I'm picturing a sitcom driving with his sheep in the passenger seat. I'll use my prestine and expert-level photoshop skills to conjure something up.

The bottom line is don't leave your sheep unattended in your vehicle. That's the law and the police will find you if you don't chaperone your sheep. You never know what could happen. He could pull a grand theft auto on and go pick up all his buddies to flee the area.
