The mystery virus that has hit 10 states and effected hundreds of kids has reached Montana. The case is out of Yellowstone County.

State official do confirm one case of this rare virus, how many more we have yet to find out. It is fast moving and has some kids in ICU. There are reports of cases that just yet to be confirmed in Montana.

Some symptoms are runny noses, coughing and wheezing but health officials say some cases have led to serious breathing problems, particularly in children with asthma.

When health officals were asked by USA Today what is causing this illness they responded "it's a virus, called EV-D68, which causes coughing and wheezing, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It belongs to a family of viruses called enteroviruses that generally peak at this time of year, says Roya Samuels, a pediatrician at Cohen Children's Medical Center in New Hyde Park, N.Y. Many people with an enterovirus never even realize they're infected, because they have no symptoms. Others have mild symptoms similar to those of a cold."

Keep an eye on the kids and if you have any questions see a doctor or call your health department.
