Kart Racing Kicked Off In Missoula

This weekend kicked off the first racing weekend out at the Big Sky Kartway. If you haven't seen these outlaw karts before you are in for a treat. These tough little karts can get up to 70 mph on the track, with accidents and spin-outs happening often. All participants have tons of safety equipment to insure no one gets hurt at such high speeds. The racers range in age from 5 to 60 plus. Over the weekend local nine year old races Zaya Smith won his kart division both Friday and Saturday, and he doesn't even have his drivers license!

It only costs $5 to watch the races. And here is the schedule for the rest of the season.

If you only make it out for one race this season, let me suggest the Wild West Shootout. It will be over 120 racers trying to get their share of over $10,000 in cash and prizes.
