It’s May Day Let’s Celebrate

May 1^st is known as May Day….it has most of it’s origins in Celtic and Germanic cultures.  It’s best known for dancing the May pole and crowning the Queen of May. In eastern Europe it’s known as the day for love. Guess this all has something to do with Spring and love is in bloom.  In the U.S.  May Baskets are made. These are small baskets usually filled with flowers or treats and left at someone's doorstep. The giver rings the bell and runs away. The person receiving the basket tries to catch the fleeing giver. If they catch the person, a kiss is exchanged.  There’s that love is in bloom thing. Enjoy the day.
