The Thanksgiving holiday travel period is considered to run from Nov. 26 until Nov. 30.If you have travel plans Thanksgiving weekend then you're in luck as far as gas prices go.
According to AAA, the average price for a Montana gallon of unleaded gas is about $2.97. That's down from about $3.30 one month ago and down from $3.04 this time last year. 46 million Americans will travel 50 or more miles during this Thanksgiving holiday period. More than 89 percent of travelers will journey by car and almost four million by plane.
