The first shipment of the COVID-19 home test kits will be available at five different locations in Ravalli County. The kits will not be available at the Ravalli County Public Health Department, but public health will be supplying five distribution sites to serve different areas of the Bitterroot Valley, according to Public Health Director Tiffany Webber, RN.

The kits will be available by Monday, January 31. Here are the locations.

  • Ravalli Family Medicine, 411 West Main, Hamilton (Mon-Fri, 9am-4pm)
  • Bitterroot Valley Urgent Care, 1230 North First, Hamilton (Mon and Fri, 9am-4pm) (Sat and Sun, 10a-2pm)
  • Bitterroot Health-Daly Hospital Convenient Care, 1200 Westwood Drive, Hamilton (Mon-Sun, 9am-4pm)
  • Lifespan Family Medicine, 715 Main, Stevensville (Mon-Fri, 9am-4pm)
  • Florence Family Medicine, 5549 Old Hwy 93, Florence (Mon-Fri, 9am-4pm)
  • More sites can be found by checking the Montana home test website. The governor secured approximately 650,000 at-home COVID-19 rapid antigen tests from Media Medical Productsfor Montanans. The tests will be available at no cost to Montanans. The CareStart tests are self-administered, and results are available in 10 minutes.

    Ravalli County Public Health at 2nd and Bedford in Hamilton will continue to have vaccinations available. Vaccinations are still the best defense against the COVID-19 virus. Public Health reminds you to continue your safety measures: Wash your hands frequently, keep your social circles small, wear a mask in unventilated areas or places where it is not possible to distance yourself.

    By the way, if you test positive from using one the test kits, please report the positive result. They can give you the latest quarantine instructions and offer other suggestions.
