How You Can Help With Missoula Moving Company’s ‘Movers for Moms’
In 2024 alone, this nationwide campaign resulted in well over 430,000 items collected in time for Mother’s Day!
For the past 17 years, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchises, including the one right here in Missoula, have been partnering with local businesses, schools, and other community groups to collect essential care items for local shelters in their areas that typically deal with domestic violence or homelessness.
Once all items were collected and sorted last year, franchise moving crews nationwide delivered them to more than 150 shelters around Mother’s Day.
MOVERS FOR MOM HOW YOU CAN HELP
As part of their core values of giving back to the community, Two Men and a Truck have been partnering with local businesses to help gather and distribute essential every day items to make life just a little easier for moms and their families who are in need.
The Movers for Moms campaign runs April 1 through May 8th, collecting essential care items like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, baby wipes, and more for Mountain Home Montana, Missoula, a nonprofit that provides safe housing, mental health care, education, and employment support for young mothers and their children. Mountain Home Montana is a nurturing community where mothers discover their strengths and children thrive.
To help raise awareness and additional support, Two Men And A Truck Missoula is also hosting a Movers for Moms Pottery Painting Event on Friday, April 4th from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Hearts Afire Pottery, 2426 West Central Avenue. A $15 registration fee will be donated entirely to Mountain Home, and 5% of event sales will go directly to helping young moms and their kids build more stable lives. Plus, guests who bring a donation item will get 5% off their pottery project.
