Lasagna is one of those dinners I love to eat, but hate to cook. It is definitely a weekend dinner. The noodles have to be boiled before you can even start putting the lasagna together. Then you have make layers upon layers of noodles, a cheese mixture and a tomato and burger mixture.

I recently ran across this crockpot lasagna soup recipe and couldn’t wait to try it. It is so easy to make. All you have to do is let it cook all day and it’s ready eat just a short time after you get home. It tastes like the real thing without all the hassle.

Hearty Lasagna Crockpot Soup

1 cup ground beef

3 cups broth

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 onion, diced

2 tablespoons Italian seasoning

2-15 ounce cans diced tomatoes

1-15 ounce can tomato sauce

1-6 ounce can tomato paste

1 cup water

2 cups uncooked pasta

Shredded cheese

Throw the ground beef, broth, garlic, onion, Italian seasoning, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and tomato paste into the crockpot and stir until combined. Cook it on low for 7 hours.

Once 7 hours is up, add the water and noodles, then stir and let it cook for another 30 minutes. Serve the lasagna soup topped with shredded cheese.
