Flathead Lake Named the Cleanest Lake in America!

There are many reasons Montana's geography ranks in the top of America. One would be the biggest lake west of the Mississippi, Flathead Lake. It also was just honored with another great title!

Yesterday I took my first motorcycle ride long distance with some friends and was thinking about this as we were cruising around the lake. It is spectacular! When I told my friends it was the cleanest lake, one responded, "Even cleaner than Lake McDonald in Glacier?"

Yes it is! Which is crazy, because if you have ever been to Lake McDonald it looks clear and super clean but that wasn't the only factor in Roadtrippers.com's recent story. They measured how clean the water actually is, and declared Flathead Lake to have "OCD Levels" of cleanliness.
