There's an age-old debate about what makes you fat faster – eating bad food or not exercising.
And though these camps are still divided, new research is setting out to prove that your couch potato ways are way more damaging than your penchant for actual potatoes.
According to a study published in the American Journal of Medicine, in the last 20 years there has been a large decrease in the amount of exercise the average person gets, and a huge increase in average body mass index (BMI). All this while calorie intake has remained steady.
This leads experts to believe that it's your sedentary lifestyle that's packing on the pounds faster than your love of dessert.
So get moving and stay slim! (Eurekalert.org)
