Elk Herd in Missoula’s Butler Creek Area

I have seen a lot of videos and pictures of some elk herds in the area. This one was captured in the Butler Creek area.

Our boss and his wife were out for a walk with their dogs and came across what seems to be a few hundred elk! They are so majestic and I always enjoy seeing them in real life or on camera. I have seen lots of cow elk or antler-less, but I have yet to see a big elk up close.

I know a lot of hunters are getting excited for spring Turkey season and then of course elk season is right around the corner.
