Eating Healthier, Fruits and Veggies Less Expensive Than Junk Food
There are a lot of health-conscious people here in Missoula but it is not easy to always eat healthy. A new study shows we should be eating 10 servings of fruits and vegetables a day. Some think it is too expensive but this new data shows differently.
I think the main reason people are deterred from trying to eat a bit healthier is price, but also that it goes bad quicker... but that's why it's better for you.
I feel like it was very fitting to have munchies.com do this story cause who doesn't love some munchies, and they can be healthy if desired. They took 78 common foods and found that junk food cost more then healthy food. It was about $1.50 cheaper per day then the unhealthy stuff. Although some cheap fried chicken is heard to resist.
