Elvis Presley fans are going to love a live performance celebrating the release of the album "Missoula to Memphis: An Elvis Compilation."

Four artists local to the Missoula area will perform at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13, at Monk's Bar to perform their renditions of reimagined covers of Elvis tunes. A student-run label at the University of Montana, Switchback Records, has partnered with a licensing firm and the Elvis Presley Estate to launch this 10-track compilation, parts of which you can hear live at Monk's - 18 and older - for just $5 admission. The album will also be released April 13 on all digital streaming services, and a limited release of 500 albums on vinyl.

Half of the album's tracks come from local Missoula musicians and the other half from other parts of the country. Your local artists are Andrea Harsell, Chloe Gendrow, the duo Edgar Allan Kubrick and the band Rotgut Whine.

Doors open at 8:00 p.m. April 13. If you need to know more, give a shout to Will Johnson, marketing coordinator, UM Productions, 541-633-0720 or marketing@umproductions.org.
