Bitterroot Brewfest Postponed Until …

With a couple thousand drinking glasses in storage, Chamber of Commerce Director Al Mitchell would like to get 'em out to the public as part of the annual Bitterroot Brewfest. However, with recent spikes in positive COVID-19 cases in Montana and evidence of infection "community spread" in Ravalli County, the annual brewfest has been postponed. Last week, the Chamber board voted to delay the popular summertime event. But for how long? That's a moving target. Mitchell said that late summer is a possibility, but even an Octoberfest might be the time for the afternoon gathering.

The Bitterroot Brewfest has always been on Bedford Street in Hamilton, with huge crowds enjoying local and neighboring craft brews. Along came the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was then scheduled July 25 at the Daly Mansion grounds, with provisions made for social distancing on the 26 acres of the mansion property. However, as the COVID-19 number rose, last week that plan was put on hold. Mitchell is determined to get the Brewfest on this year's schedule. We'll keep you informed.
