It started as a day at the beach. It quickly led to an all out party. We figure let's "do it up right" this year. Bring your "mud bug hunting gear," cold drinks and your assortment of meats because we're cooking up a beach party on the banks of the Bitterroot River. And not just any beach party....we're having ourselves a full on grill master cook-off. Its going to be a full on culinary throwdown, using a yet to be determined protein. Could it be chicken? Could it be brisket? Could it be kangaroo? We will have to wait and see. Regardless, the winner this year will be awarded the coveted Bitterroot BBQ Grill Master Cup.

Saturday, July 18th, yours truly and my fishing buddies Nick and Zach are taking over Florence Bridge FAS. We plan to spend most of the day BBQ'n and occasionally cooling off with a quick dip. Crawfish hunters can take to the water in search of the elusive mud bug. Our goal is to catch enough to have a classic southern style "boil" as well as the annual crawfish races at 5pm. Thats right! We are going to see just how fast those little crustaceans can scoot. The winner will be awarded immunity from taking a dip in the "boil."
