It's always good to see Montanans accomplishing great things out there in the world.

Evel Knievel was born in Butte and went on to become the most well-known daredevil of all time. David Lynch was born in Missoula and became one of the great filmmakers of the modern age. And now, we've got Joe Sullivan - the man who absolutely went for it and managed to eat an entire 72 oz. steak with 9 minutes left on the clock.

Yellowstone Production Assistant Took On a Texas Restaurant's Steak Challenge

Joe Sullivan's a production assistant from Montana who has worked on several high-profile projects based here, including YellowstoneThose Who Wish Me Dead, and Certain Women, according to his IMDB page.

And it looks like the Yellowstone team is currently in Texas working on the new prequel series 1883, because the crew showed up at a restaurant called The Big Texan Steak Ranch & Brewery, located in Amarillo.

The Big Texan Steak Ranch is well-known for their 72 oz. Steak Challenge - basically, if you can finish an entire 72 oz. steak in under one hour, you get your meal for free. Sounds easy enough until you're actually looking at the thing! They lay out all the rules on their website.

But Joe was more than up to the challenge, and managed to finish his steak in just over 50 minutes. The restaurant congratulated him on their Facebook page.

So congrats, Joe! We hope that steak didn't make you too sick immediately afterward. I mean, you need to save room for dessert, right?
