Darby 'Xtreme' and NILE Rodeos Kick in $100,000 Bareback Bonus

The Darby Xtreme Bareback Bronc event was formed in 2020, and it has steadily grown, featuring the world’s best bareback bronc riders each June.

A NEW SIX-FIGURE INCENTIVE

The excitement intensifies with a lot of bucks for a lot of buckin'. The Northern Ag Network tells us that Pro Rodeo’s Rank45 Xtreme Bareback Bronc riding is an event with roots in the hit TV series Yellowstone and the noted pro rodeo family of the Steiners (Bobby, Sid, and Rocker, all world champions). And as usual, Darby, Montana will be putting its best hooves forward again this year for the Dutton Ranch Darby Xtreme Bareback Broncs event.

Fast forward to 2026: NILE in Billings has added an Xtreme Bareback Bronc event titled the Riggin Masters, offering a $100,000 purse for the Top 24 PRCA bareback riders in the world standings, making it the richest Xtreme bareback event. The Billings event, October 16 and 17, will also invite the Top 6 Rookies in the PRCA world standings to compete.

And now the Darby event and the NILE event have partnered to offer a Big Sky Xtreme Bareback bonus of an additional $100,000 to any PRCA bareback bronc rider who can win both the Darby Xtreme Bareback event and the NILE’s Riggin Masters event in the same year!

Winning both the Darby Xtreme Broncs event and the Riggin Masters will require a mammoth effort competing on at least 5 head of pro rodeo’s rankest bareback broncs and out-scoring all others of the most elite bareback riders in the PRCA.

One of rodeo's most intense competitions, this event brings elite PRCA cowboys and has grown into the richest stand-alone bareback in the world. If you don't want to go to Vegas for the NFR, then just come down to Darby for this show stopper event!

The Dutton Ranch Xtreme Bareback Event is Saturday and Sunday, June 6 & 7.

On June 6, gates open at 3:00 with action running from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.

On June 7, gates open at 1:00 with action from 3:00 - 5:00 pm.
