University of Montana Campus Recreation and Sakura Warrior Arts will be hosting a women's self-defense seminar.

The seminar takes place from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10 and again Thursday, April 12. Participants will learn tactics to distract, incapacitate and escape. You will gain an introduction into anti-abduction and self-defense. Essentially, learning how to fight back and distract an assailant long enough to get away. The seminar's goal is to give women practical, effective techniques that target vulnerable areas, such as eyes, nose, throat, groin and knees.

The seminar will be held in the UM Fitness and Recreation Center, Room 3. Again, the cost is only $25. You can get more information and sign up with Campus Rec here, or call Emily Simpson, Campus Recreation Fitness Programs director, 406-243-2833. Or emily.simpson@mso.umt.edu.
