Show your support today as we honor all our past, present and future Veterans. There are many celebrations you can take part in. There will be a breakfast at American Legion Post 27 at 845 Ronan Street starting at 7 a.m., with full breakfast and donations accepted at the door.

VFW Post 209 at 245 West Main Street in Missoula will also host a breakfast for veterans and their families beginning at 7 a.m. Donations are accepted to cover the cost of the food, but not required.

A free Veteran's Day service will be held at Missoula the Missoula County Courthouse from 11 a.m. to noon with CSKT Veteran Honor Guard and program by American Legion Post 101. Another service will be held from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. to dedicate American flag that flew over an Afghanistan base staffed by Montana Army National Guard's 143rd unit.

Missoula County Public Schools will acknowledge and honor our nation's veterans with a district-wide moment of silence in every class at the beginning of the school day.

A small ceremony will also take place at C.S. Porter Middle School at the flagpole in the front of the school. The ceremony will start at 8:35 a.m. and will include school staff, district leadership and students.

It should also be noted that there will be no Mountain Line buses running on Veterans Day due to the holiday.
