Throwing Snowballs in the Spring in Montana

 It's not unusual to have snow in the spring but it is June and there is still a lot of snow up high and even down low in the Bitterroot.

When we were out hiking we encountered a bit of snow and as a matter of fact the lake we were trying to get to was frozen over and covered in snow. There was a lot of snow up high in this area due to the lack of sun exposure.

I decided to have a snowball fight in June in Montana...sounds about right! There was enough snow in some areas to get my shoes filled up but on a hot day it was kind fo refreshing.
