According to Jesse Ramos, the Reserve pedestrian bridge was paid for with TIF funding, or Tax Increment Financing. The TIF grand total for development in Urban Renewal District III comes out to roughly $13 million.
So far, no one has been able to use the pedestrian bridge that spans South Reserve Street and connects Missoula to the biking trail that leads down the Bitterroot.
The City of Missoula says drivers may expect some traffic delays at the intersections of Reserve and South and Reserve and Brooks starting Wednesday night through Thursday morning due to manhole repair work.
