Another reminder to always be "Bear Aware."

Two inspiring events took place in Missoula just minutes apart on Sunday. The first was a Black Lives Matter protest in Caras Park, while the second was the annual flag retirement ceremony near Fort Missoula.

The iconic ‘M’ Trail at the University of Montana will be undergoing a major makeover in the next 18 months, but specifically the steps at the start of the trail will be closed while new steps are constructed.

37 year-old Jared Kuntz, the man accused of brutally beating a young mother on the ‘M’ Trail, as well as attacking and injuring two other men, appeared via video on Monday in Missoula Justice Court before Judge Alex Beal.

A Missoula man, Jared Robert Kuntz has been charged with multiple assaults after allegedly attacking a woman and her son on the ‘M’ trail and then attacking and injuring two brothers later that day.

University of Montana Police are reporting that a woman was attacked near the ‘M’ trail on Mount Sentinel on Friday afternoon.
