Not a football fan and wondering what unique programming there might be for you Super Bowl Sunday? Well, this could be darn near purrrrr-fect. If you're a feline fan, that is. And spoiler alert: there are some football undertones.

But there promises to be so much exciting action that you'll be using the remote to put your TV on "paws" over and over, as NFL analyst and one-time Super Bowl quarterback Boomer Esiason hosts Kitten Bowl 3 on the Hallmark Channel. Actually, not to diminish Boomer's role, his title is Feline Football League commissioner.

The beauty of the event, whether or not the competition is actually entertaining, is that nearly 100 rescue kittens were used during the taping of the show back in October, and they all got adopted! I wouldn't watch for any multi-million dollar TV commercials like they produce for the Super Bowl, but congrats to the North Shore Animal League of New York on those adoptions and here's to a great Kitten Bowl!

I imagine all the kittens are rooting for the Panthers on Sunday.    DB
