Arts Missoula Will Pay You for Your Hallmark Channel Movie Idea

Name the one thing that gets joked about the most when the holidays roll around. Fruitcakes would be a good guess but we're going to have to go with the Hallmark Channel's Christmas movies as being the #1 answer on the board. But it almost feels like we've reached a point where people joked about the movies for so long that Hallmark Channel found a way to capitalize on the exposure and now they're almost cool in their own way.

Who comes up with this stuff?

This year features over 40 new holiday movies and they started showing them with more than a week still left in October. Take a peek at the Hallmark Channel website right now and you'll see holiday movies dominate the site. You can't help but feel like they use a random topic generator to come up with some of these stories.

Think up your cheesiest movie idea and present it for a chance to be named the best of the worst in Arts Missoula and Montana Book Festival's Best Worst Holiday Movie Pitch Competition.

Among other things, the winning entry will pocket $100 and get a movie poster based on their idea! The guidelines are pretty simple and include things like a movie title being required, submissions being limited to 250 words, and no offensive content.
