And They’re Off! Minnow Racing Returns To The Bitterroot This Weekend

I love my job as Voice of the Montana Lady Griz and doing play-by-play for Griz Soccer, Softball, and Volleyball. Plus, all the announcing I do with Griz Football and here at Townsquare Missoula, but I have some other sports and events that I want to announce in my career.

It's a lifelong goal of mine to do play-by-play announcing for a WWE event. I would love to do some local wrestling shows too, like Extreme Dwarfanators Wrestling in Missoula. 

I'd also like to call an NFL game or a March Madness game, but now I have a new goal in life:

To call minnow races

Minnow Races in Stevensville This Weekend

The Lonesome Dove Saloon & Casino is hosting Minnow Races in Stevensville on Saturday, February 21, at 7 pm.

Here's how it works. They give you a minnow for the night in a little solo cup, and you have to pray to the gods that your minnow is the Usain Bolt of minnows. Some exciting prizes will be handed out throughout the night.

• A raffle for a $500 gift card to Quinn's Hot Springs Resort
• A raffle for a glowing Neon Bud Light sign
• A raffle for a Michelob Ultra Cooler
• A raffle for a .223 Tactical "pew pew" (Facebook doesn't let you use the word g*n, so they worked around it with "pew pew")
• A raffle for 2 Zootown Music Festival passes
