It's time to make some decisions about what you're going to enter in this year's Ravalli County Fair. The Exhibitors Handbook has been published for the August 29-September 1st event in Hamilton. The theme this year is "Country Roots and Dirty Boots" and the exhibit categories are plentiful - Dairy Products, Fruit, Grasses, Herbs, Hay, Honey, Vegetables, Fermentation, Antique Machinery, Art and Sculpture, Baked Goods, Canned and Preserved foods, Ceramics, Floral, Home Arts, Natural Fibers, Photography, Porcelain Art, Quilting, livestock (goats, horses, mules, donkeys, rabbits, sheep, poultry and more). The handbook has detailed instructions about each category, along with deadlines.

Open Class entry forms must in the Fairgrounds Office by Friday, August 10 at 5 p.m. or midnight online. (Livestock entries cannot be entered online) FFA and 4-H entry forms must be in by August 3rd at 5 p.m. Only the paperwork is needed - the actual entries will be accepted at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds in the days immediately preceding the fair. Each department has details in the Exhibitors Handbook.

The Exhibitors Handbook was included in the June 6th Bitterroot Star newspaper. The books are also available at the Ravalli County Fair Office and at various locations throughout the valley in Corvallis, Darby, Conner, Florence and Hamilton. The Ravalli County Fair Parade will be accepting entries in August at the Bitterroot Chamber of Commerce office at (406) 363-2400. The parade will be in Hamilton August 29 at 10 a.m.
