It will be a long night. But, with jumbo iced latte in hand, I'll be ready to take on the BINGO world!

Once again this year, yours truly, Dennis J. Bedard, has been invited by Soroptimist International of Missoula to call a night of BINGO at the Western Montana Fair next week. It's a huge honor, and even if they didn't ask, I'd probably show up anyway and beg.

I will take a turn calling the numbers on Wednesday, August 9, from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. You'll be supporting a wonderful organization and hopefully taking home a few bucks, too.

For those not familiar with Soroptimists, they are a network of volunteer professional women around the world, including a chapter here is Missoula. Their mission is to "improve the lives of women and girls. The name, Soroptimist, means "best for women."  Soroptimists are women at their best, working to help other women to be their best."

Awards and scholarships. Fundraisers and events. These are cornerstones of how the women of Soroptimist strive to improve the lives of others. Soroptimist International of Missoula would love to visit with you sometime about membership and rewarding opportunities. But next week, it's all about the BINGO!

Last year, the Soroptimist BINGO booth moved to a new and bigger location. It is basically centered between the carnival and the main entrance to the grandstands, in the west-central area of the Missoula Fairgrounds. Trust me, you'll find us! The new venue allows lots more people to find a seat and play, so the jackpots are much bigger than before.

Each game's winner takes half of the pot, so the more players we have at each game, the more there is to win. They'll be playing every day of the fair, but I'm hoping your first choice is Wednesday to get their week off to a rollicking start.

Thanks in advance for coming. We would sure love to see you there.
