Flathead Lake? Of course. Yellowstone National Park? Naturally. Glacier, Little Big Horn, Lewis and Clark Caverns.

And certainly plenty of out-of-state attractions make up the typical Montanan's ideal vacation spots. But one that probably isn't is a blast furnace that I could NOT believe is heading into their peak season!

Death Valley, the hottest place in America, sees business boom as temperatures continue to rise over the next couple of months. that is in part due to Death Valley National Park's  huge spike in European travelers who apparently want  to experience heat unlike anything in Europe. Yep, it is a bucket-list item to many for whatever reason. Now, my fellow Montanans are an adventurous lot, but, let's be honest: we can be real heat weenies. That's why I don't imagine Death Valley in July or August is on many of our vacation bucket lists. Right?

Oh, and highs are supposed to be in the 120s this week. But.........it's a dry heat.
