Well, think about it. When was the last time you really did a deep dive into the tossed tummy treasures of a fascinating creature?

Now, thanks to the Owl Research Institute located in Charlo, Montana, an unforgettable educational experience can be yours this Friday, January 12. Draught Works Brewery in Missoula is proud to host: Owl Pellet Night!

OUR LEGAL TEAM MAY REQUIRE THIS OF US

Like many birds of prey and other creatures, undigested material left in the gizzard, including teeth, skulls, claws, and feathers are too dangerous to pass through the rest of the owl's digestive tract. So, to safely excrete this material, the owl's gizzard compacts it into a tight pellet and regurgitates. Those regurgitated pellets are known as owl pellets.

And one can be yours to have and to hold.

KIDS ARE WELCOME

Dive into the fascinating world of owls during Owl Pellet Night at Draught Works, 915 Toole Avenue, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.  For only $10, you'll receive your very own owl pellet and all the materials needed to explore its contents. From intriguing fragments of animal bones,  insect shells and more, this hands-on adventure will reveal mysteries hidden within. And we mean REALLY within.

During this night of discovery and fun, representatives from the Owl Research Institute will present an informative session all about owls. They'll also showcase a variety of taxidermied owls and pellets from different species for you to observe and learn from.
