A Coeur d'Alene guy has been ordered to pay over $6,800 bucks in restitution for defrauding a bounty program that pays anglers who catch trout in Lake Pend Oreille.

Idaho Fish & Game was paying $15 a trout head. They're trying to help the lake's struggling kokanee population. So Christopher Pluntz turns in 443 heads and collects the bounty. Investigators examine them and determine that the trout belonged to a coastal variety, not the type found in Lake Pend Oreille.

The dead giveaway was that each trout head had  fake glasses, nose and mustache on them.
