The International Weight Pull Association (yes, there is such a thing) is bringing a dog weight pull contest to Butte. And your dog could learn to compete.

Dogs compete within weight classes to see which ones can pull the most weight, 16 feet within one minute. Think tractor pull with paws and fur. Some of the strongest dogs in America are on the IWPA circuit showing their power.

Interested owners of novice dogs can get in on the action, too. Professionals will be on hand with free advice on how to get your dog into weight pulling. Harnesses will be provided.

Over $1,500 in prizes will be awarded. The event will be held behind McKenzie River Pizza Company, 3450 Monroe Avenue in Butte, November 10 and 11, from 10:00 a.m. until completion each day.  If you need more details contact Darwin at 406-491-7445 or email serenamatson@hotmail.com with any questions.
