My Very First Time Spectating a High School Graduation
This weekend I took the trip to Billings for a graduation! It was my first one I attended and it was really cool to see all the students and hear about their hard work.
I had no idea there would be so many kids! Good to see so many graduating but schools are getting more packed it seems. 394 kids in this graduation class for West High in Billings, (The Golden Bears). The first kids to talk was the one that stood out the most to me. He said he was addicted to attention, like most people are. We yearn for others attention ( social media, likes, views, etc) when we should be paying attention to ourselves. Too many times we look for attention from others and lose out on giving attention to ourselves. That is where a lot of issues can arise.
There were quite a few "valedictorians", and many students including the one I was there too see who graduated with honors. Alivia has always been a great kid who is on the way to NDSU to contribute her amazing talents to that college. When her name was called I wanted to scream as loud as I could but sat there so long and was parched. They did read names alternated between start and middle which helped make the time less.
The tossing of the hats was neat and I am sure all these kids were so excited to be done with school. Congrats to Alivia especially !
