Missoula’s ‘Dolce Canto’ Performance This Weekend
Dolce Canto is Missoula's auditioned, non-profit choral ensemble founded in 2001. And they have a performance this Saturday, March 18th at the UM Music Recital Hall located on the University of Montana campus. If you haven't seen a performance by Dolce Canto before it's something you will be talking about for weeks.
Dolce Canto, directed by Peter Park, presents “It Takes a Village”. Doors open at 6:45 PM. Tickets may be purchased at Fact & Fiction, Rockin’ Rudy’s, or click here. Special guests for this concert are the C.S. Porter Varsity Porterliers & Portamentos, directed by Christopher Whiteman.
Themed on childhood, parenthood, and community, this concert celebrates the innocence and joy of youth, ponders the wonderment and challenges of being a parent, reflects on the beauty that children bring to the world, and express the hope that tomorrow’s children will choose wisely and positively impact the future. The performance will include works by Stephen Sondheim, Eric Whitacre, Joan Szymko, Malcolm Daglish, and Ēriks Ešenvalds.
