What do you think was up with this guy? Maybe trying to get the best view he could of all the fun stuff that's happening at Ogren Park this summer? Or did the anger from the Missoula Osprey changing their name to the PaddleHeads finally push him to cause a public scene? I guess we'll never know what this majestic creature was thinking before he got stuck high above the ballpark.

The unlucky osprey got caught in a lightning rod attached to stadium lights earlier this week. You know what a lightning rod is, right? A metal rod mounted on a structure and intended to protect the structure from a lightning strike. I totally knew that and didn't have to google it to get the description from Wikipedia. *wink*

The bird's bum lucked led to a ladder rescue from Missoula's finest at the Missoula Fire Department. Despite suffering an injured wing, a social media post from the MFD says the bird is "in good hands and professionals are taking care of him." Our feathered friend should be back in action after a little bit of downtime to recover.

Just look at that fantastic picture of the recently rescued osprey! He has a look like he's thinking "I can't believe I just did that!" The guy needs his own social media page. If the shark from Katy Perry's Super Bowl performance can be a star - there's hope for all creatures.
