At around 2:15 a.m. on Tuesday, a Missoula Police officer observed two individuals in a parked car in the parking lot of a Motel in the 3000 block of Expo Parkway. According to court documents, the male in the driver’s seat looked familiar to the officer. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains.

“The officer noted that the engine appeared to be running, that the headlights were on, and that the vehicle was occupied by two persons,” Welsh said. “Given the hour of the night and the fact that the area has been a location of drug activity, the officer made contact with the couple in the vehicle and identified them as 42-year-old Wesley Charlo and 22-year-old Isabelle Pablo.”

The officers learned that Charlo had two outstanding warrants out of Missoula County for $50,000 and $100,000 respectively.

“Another officer responded, made contact with Pablo, and discovered that she had outstanding warrants as well,” Welsh said. “Both were placed under arrest and transported to the Missoula County Jail. While at the jail, Charlo was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.”

As a result, Charlo is currently being charged with one count of felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs.
